Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about submitting, grading and getting your cards back.

Getting started

How do I submit cards for grading?

Create an account, build your submission online, print your packing slip and ship your cards to us. We handle the rest.

What types of cards do you grade?

We grade a wide range of trading cards including sports, TCG (Pokémon, Magic, etc.) and more.

Is there a minimum submission?

Minimums depend on your service tier and region. See the Pricing and International pages.

Pricing & turnaround

How long does it take to get my cards back?

Turnaround depends on the service tier you choose. Estimates are shown before checkout and you can track progress live.

When do I pay for grading?

Payment is collected when you complete your online submission, before you ship.

How much does card grading cost?

Ours starts at $5 a card, flat, with no value-based tiers. Across the industry the range runs from about $5 to $80 a card before shipping — see how much card grading costs for the full breakdown, or cheapest card grading for how we get to $5.

Which card grading company should I use?

It depends on the card. We compare every major grader on price, turnaround and resale impact — including where we're honestly not the right choice — on our best card grading companies page.

Is there card grading near me?

Not really — every grading company, including us, works by mail. A local shop just packages your cards and sends them to the same place you would. More on that on card grading near me.

Shipping & security

Are my cards insured while with you?

Your collectibles are handled with care and covered while in our facility. Details are provided during checkout.

Do you accept international submissions?

Yes — we accept submissions from selected destinations worldwide. Contact us for supported regions and shipping details.

How do I verify a graded card?

Use our Cert Lookup to verify any card by its certification number.

Is MPE Grading the same as MPG Grading?

Yes, if you're looking for us. Our name is MPE Grading, and it's often searched as MPG Grading, MP Grading or MPE Card Grading — they all refer to the same veteran-owned company here at mpegrading.com. Every slab we issue is checkable for free in our public Cert Lookup, and you can read customer reviews on our reviews page.
